PM Modi to meet farmers on March 15, read farmers’ reaction

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will meet the farmers on March 15, said Satnam Singh Pannu, State President Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee after holding late hours meeting with Central Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, ahead of Narendra Modi, PM’s visit to Ferozepur on January 5 and the protest at PM’s rally was postponed for the time being.

The farmer leader said, with this assurance, we have decided to wait near Kulgarhi adding that in case the administration honor these commitments, the protest will be withdrawn failing further strategy will be planned accordingly. The farmers’ outfit has given its consent on this. He further said, there is no mention of time in the letter handed over to the farmer leader. However, it was assured that a revised letter with time will be given during the meeting a Committee over MSP Guarantee Law will be formed before January 15 and all cases against the farmers of Punjab, Haryana and UP will be withdrawn by January 31. The hard copies of these letters will be received by 11 am.
