Jalandhar- Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Dr. Nayan Jassal today directed all the Pollution Control Centers to upgrade themselves as after April 1, 2020 all the pollution check certificates issued manually would be considered.
In a statement issued here today, the Secretary Regional Transport Authority said that all the pollution control centres across the state in general and Jalandhar in particular would have to be integrated with VAHAN 4.0 software. She said that this integration has to be completed till March 31, 2020 by all ways and means. Dr. Jassal said that stern action would be taken against those pollution control centres who do not integrate themselves with the VAHAN 4.0 software.
Secretary Regional Transport Authority further said that after March, 2020 all the manually issued pollution control certificates would be declared illegal. She asked the commuters also to get their pollution checked only from the centres which have integrated themselves with the new technology. Dr. Jassal said that this would help the people in commuting in a smooth and hassle free manner. “The department will also launch a massive awareness drive to make the people aware of this in the coming days” she added.
