Haryana Energy Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh participated as the Chief Guest in the wrestling competition organised by Sri Gurudev Charitable Trust in Sant Nagar at Gurudev Indoor Stadium in Sirsa district on Sunday.
Sh. Ranjit Singh said that this region is blessed by the grace of the Namdhari Gurus, and due to the immense blessings of the Gurus. People of the Namdhari sect have consistently made praiseworthy efforts to eliminate social evils.
He said that the state government is continuously encouraging the youth to participate in sports, and a wave of development is underway across the entire state. In the past nine years, the government has undertaken development projects worth crores in every sector of the state.
The Energy Minister said that the long-standing demand of this region, the construction of a syphon on the NGC River has been fulfilled by the government. A few days ago, people had demanded the excavation of the Ghaggar River, which has been discussed with the Chief Minister, and soon this demand will also be fulfilled by the state government.
Sh. Ranjit Singh stated that Sri Gurudev Charitable Trust, from time to time, organises various programs to inspire the youth. In the program, the Energy Minister honoured the Namdhari XI hockey team and announced a cash reward of Rs. 11 lakh to encourage children to excel in sports.
